Do You Know How To Halak?
Halak means walk in Hebrew. To give you some background, I am in a class of Discipleship class which is titled "Walk As Jesus Walked." For a Jew life is a walk, or, life is halak. To give you an example, in Psalm 1:1 it says, "Blessed is the man who does not walk (halak) in the counsel of the wicked or stand in the way of sinners or sit in the seat of mockers." Life is hard work, I think we can all agree on that. Life isn't always hard work, but more often than not it is. For a Jew religion and life is hard work, therefore halaking in his path is hard work as well. Today I don't think that we associate religion with hard work. Sometimes, I wish that we would. A God halak is an intense journey and it isn't something that should be taken lightly. I think the biggest question out of all of this is, do you know how to halak? Because the problem with Christianity is that you can know the path, but not walk the path. The devil knows that path, but doesn't walk the path, and that is why he is so powerful....
